LG Business Solutions USA announced two new solar panels with increased energy output. As LG assures, these are the most powerful and high-performance modules of the company to date.
LG’s new 66-cell NeON R and NeON R Prime modules based on Back Contact Technology will be available to home builders and homeowners in the US this spring. At the same time, the solar panel LG NeON R for residential premises has an output power of up to 440 W, and the LG NeON R Prime – up to 425 W. Typically, solar panels provide 250 to 400 watts of power output. Thus, the new products from LG are among the most powerful solutions on the market. Both versions have an efficiency of up to 22.1%, while for most solutions available on the market, this figure is in the range of 15-20%.
The Back Contact Technology used allows all interconnectors to be placed on the underside of the cubicle. This, in turn, increases the potential for absorbing sunlight and reduces vulnerability to environmental damage such as microcracks, which potentially increase energy loss. The electrodes have also been moved to the back of the panel.
Both panels are backed by a 25-year limited warranty covering product, performance and performance. They are guaranteed to generate at least 92.5% of the declared output power.
The prices of the LG NeON R and NeON R Prime panels have not yet been announced.
