Last October, Dell released an updated version of its compact XPS 13 laptop, powered by Intel Tiger Lake-U processors. That model became part of the Intel EVO platform, which testified to its compliance with certain specifications, such as battery life, support for WiFi6 and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity standards, etc.
Now Dell has released another – more affordable – configuration of the XPS 13 laptop (version 9305), which received a display with an aspect ratio of 16: 9, although traditionally XPS devices were characterized by displays with a 16:10 ratio. The display has a diagonal of 13.3 inches and supports the Ful HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The matrix used provides 100% coverage of the sRGB color space and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. The new product includes an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor (Tiger Lake), 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM with a frequency of 4267 MHz and a 512 GB NVMe solid-state drive. The battery has a capacity of 52 Wh. In this case, the laptop weighs only 1.16 kg.
The new Dell XPS 13 9305 is already available for pre-order in China for about $1240. Thus, the new product turned out to be $620 cheaper than the previous version of the XPS 13 9310.
