Xiaomi 12 will receive a triple 50 MP camera with a fivefold periscope

Over the past few years, Xiaomi has taught users that its flagship smartphones use top-end camera sensors with a resolution of 108 MP. However, very often additional modules have to be content with sensors with a lower resolution – about 8-13 MP.

In the future flagship Xiaomi 12, the situation may change for the better. According to insiders, the company will equip the smartphone with three 50 MP modules: main, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto. The latter will be able to provide a fivefold optical zoom.

Earlier, information appeared on the network that Xiaomi was one of the first to use a 200 MP sensor in its smartphone. It is quite possible that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra model will be able to boast of it.

In addition to the upgrade in terms of cameras, the Xiaomi 12 will also receive an improved AMOLED display. It will support LTPO adaptive refresh rate technology (1-120 Hz), which will improve the device’s energy efficiency. The Snapdragon 898 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM will be responsible for the performance of the smartphone.
