According to a Bloomberg report, Nintendo may release its rumored new version of Switch in September or October. Production is reportedly slated to begin in July, and Bloomberg says the system could be announced before E3, which kicks off in virtual form on June 12.

As noted by Bloomberg, the announcement ahead of E3 will allow third-party publishers and Nintendo itself to showcase their games running on the new hardware. This version of the Switch uses a more powerful Nvidia chip that works with DLSS technology to output 4K signals to the TV. It also reportedly features a 7-inch OLED display from Samsung.

Bloomberg reports that Nintendo’s suppliers are “confident” in their ability to fulfill orders despite a global shortage of chips and other components. “The product lines are better prepared for potential component swaps, and the parts Nintendo uses are less prone to competition than those of its competitors’ more powerful consoles,” the report says. However, it still warns that “the company’s ability to meet consumer demand is not guaranteed. ”
