Last year, Xiaomi launched its first OLED smart TV called the Mi TV Master Series 65-inch OLED. This TV is also known as Mi TV LUX 65 ”OLED. Eleven months after its announcement, the company appears to be teasing another OLED TV.
Last Friday, Pan Joon, CEO of Xiaomi TV, shared a photo showing two different TVs in the dark on Weibo. In the post description, he mentioned that one of the pictures is the new Mi TV, and the other is a high-rated TV (he didn’t mention the brand). He asked his followers to choose the best of the two.
The photo provided by the company executive does not justify the picture quality of the two TVs. As you know, the quality of television panels cannot be judged by images and videos. To conclude, one must experience it personally.
Hence, this post on Weibo from Pan Joon is nothing more than a marketing piece to tease the arrival of the new Xiaomi Mi TV. The company has yet to reveal anything about this TV. However, a reliable whistleblower has some idea of the product.
According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Mi TV will use an OLED panel. However, he did not reveal the size. But he hinted at the price of the TV.
According to the forecast, Xiaomi’s upcoming OLED TV could be a little pricey due to chip shortages and rising TV panel prices. But he says the company will help make mini-LED and OLED TVs available to more consumers by lowering the prices of its new products.
