Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched the flagship Mi MIX Fold, its first foldable smartphone with a form factor similar to the Galaxy Fold series. A fresh leak says the manufacturer is currently working on a new version of the MIX Fold that will compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

According to the source, the novelty will not be a fundamentally new device. It will be the original Mix Fold with a number of improvements and additions. The insider also added that the smartphone will receive external and main screens with a high refresh rate, a 5000 mAh battery and support for 120W fast charging. In addition, the smartphone may be equipped with a sub-screen front camera.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not yet named the exact date of the presentation of the updated Mix Fold. However, previous leaks have shown that the release could take place in the fourth quarter of 2021.
