Xiaomi has long had its own communication service called Mi Talk. But recently the company decided to close it, for unknown reasons. However, just a week after the closure, Xiaomi announced its revival in a new form.
After the service closed, the director of Xiaomi organized a chat with the company’s fans on Weibo. By the way, about 130 million people took part in it. As part of this conversation, the company’s head announced that Xiaomi would launch a new communication application in 2021. And so, on February 26, the Xiaomi Mi Talk team wrote an interesting message: “Mi Talk, start again.”
The Mi Talk service started working again but in an updated form. Now it is the voice hour for professionals. In terms of functionality, the application is very similar to Clubhouse, which rapidly gains popularity. In the Xiaomi application, as well as in the Clubhouse, an invitation system will operate.
So far, the updated Mi Talk is under testing. Only registered Xiaomi employees can enter it. The company has already promised that the service will be available to both iOS and Android users.
