Sony has decided to compete in the drone market by introducing its first quadcopter called Airpeak. The company says it is the smallest drone that is capable of carrying Alpha cameras. It is designed to create professional photo and video content.

Unfortunately, Sony has not yet revealed the technical details of Airpeak. The company said it uses the drone to capture landscapes and cityscapes. As an example, a video of the Vision-S electric car’s filming process, presented at last year’s CES, was published.

The electric car is in the next phase of testing, having entered public roads in Austria. This is how Sony evaluates vehicle safety and tests its own technology. Let me remind you that Vision-S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds, and its maximum speed is 240 km / h. Inside the car, there are two 200 kW electric motors installed.

As for the date when the Airpeak copter goes on sale, it has not been specified. During the Airpeak brand announcement late last year, Sony stated that “the product launch window is scheduled for spring 2021.” So we look forward to news on this in the coming months.
