Last week it was reported that OnlyFans intends to change its rules and prohibit authors from distributing sexually explicit content on its platform. This step was surprising, since this service is famous for the distribution of explicit materials aimed at an adult audience. But now the service is in a hurry to reassure all those who might be upset by such a ban – OnlyFans will continue to remain the home for authors of sexual content.
In a short message on Twitter, the service claims that it managed to solve the problems that forced it to make changes to its rules. Therefore, it was decided to suspend the change in the rules, scheduled for October 1.
“Thank you all, your voices have been heard.
We’ve got the guarantees we need to support our diverse community of creators, and we have put on hold the October 1 policy change.
OnlyFans stands for inclusiveness and we will continue to provide a home for all creators. “
Soon, the service intends to send the authors an official notification by e-mail.
Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard.
We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change.
OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators.

The statement was released just a day after the CEO of the service told the Financial Times that the reason for the ban was actually problems with banking partners, and not with Mastercard, as some suggested.
Note that after the initial posting, many contributors of explicit content began to remove their content in violation of the updated OnlyFans policy. Also, some authors have started to migrate their subscriber bases to alternative platforms. Now they are faced with a choice, and they have to decide whether to stay with OnlyFans in the future.
