Samsung held another event in 2021, at which new laptops from the Galaxy Book line were presented this time. Let’s go over the main characteristics of the devices.
Galaxy Book Pro
This model is available in two sizes: 13.3 ″ and 15.6 ″. Both versions are very light and slim, with the smaller 0.88 kg and the larger 1.05 kg. The devices are equipped with AMOLED displays with Full HD resolution, brightness of 500 nits, response time of 0.2 s, and DisplayHDR 500 certification.
Inside the laptops are 11th Gen Intel processors, 8GB to 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB SSD. Variants with i5 and i7 processors come with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, but modifications with a GeForce MX450 video card (they, however, are slightly thicker and weigh more).
Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A 3.2, HDMI, 3.5 mm audio jack, and microSD reader are available from the connection interfaces in the 15.6 ″ version. The 13.3 ″ model lacks an HDMI port, but it has a slot for a nanoSIM card (4G is supported). The devices also have Wi-Fi 6E modules, speakers from AKG with Dolby Atmos support, and a fingerprint scanner in the power button.
The Galaxy Book Pro 15.6 ″ is equipped with a 68Wh battery. Comes with a 65W USB-C power adapter. The 13.3 ″ version has a 63 Wh battery. The cost of the smaller model starts at $ 1000, the larger one – from $ 1100.
Galaxy Book Pro 360
Based on the name, you can guess that this model received a hinge that allows the display to recline 360 degrees. The AMOLED screen itself has a touch-sensitive coating and supports S Pen operation. As with the regular Galaxy Book Pro, there are two versions available: 13.3 ″ and 15.6 ″.
11th Gen Intel processors power the notebooks, but discrete graphics from NVIDIA are not available. The 13.3 ″ Galaxy Book Pro 360 is available with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM, while the 15.6 ″ model can be equipped with up to 32 GB of RAM. But the smaller one optionally received a slot for a nanoSIM card.
Otherwise, the characteristics are, to a large extent, the same as the Galaxy Book Pro. However, the cost of 360 versions is slightly more expensive: from $ 1200 for the 13.3 ″ version and $1300 for the 15.6 ″ model.
Galaxy Book Odyssey
The gaming modification received discrete graphics cards NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Max-Q and 3050 Ti Max-Q. They complement the 11th Gen Core i5 or i7 processors. RAM is available up to 32 GB, SSD – up to 1 TB. However, this laptop can be upgraded by adding RAM and/or ROM.
The 15.6 ″ TFT-LCD display has a Full HD resolution. Two USB-C, three USB-A 3.2, HDMI, RJ-45, 3.5 mm audio jack, microSD reader, Wi-Fi 6 module are available. The battery has a capacity of 83 W * h, includes a 135 W USB-C adapter nutrition.
