As expected, Samsung published its financial report for the second quarter of this year. According to it, consolidated sales from April to June 2022 were 77 trillion won (about $59.2 billion) and consolidated operating income was 14 trillion won (about $10.76 billion).

The numbers are slightly lower than the previous quarter, but significantly higher year-on-year. Compared to the second quarter of 2021, Samsung sales increased by 22% and operating profit increased by 12%.
Going forward, Samsung will try to strengthen its position in the premium smartphone market, as well as in the processor segment. The company will publish a full breakdown of financial results at the end of July, then it will be clear what the growth is connected with.
