Research laboratory DxoMark has published a report on the latest flagship Samsung camera test results, namely the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The test results were not encouraging.

The smartphone scored only 121 points in total, which allowed it to take only 17th place in the DxoMark rating. The smartphone received 128 points for photography, 98 points for the video, and 76 points for scaling in more detail. The lab noted that the Galaxy S21 Ultra performed worse than expected in all aspects. As a result, it lost even last year’s Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which is now in 10th place.

“The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G (Exynos) is capable of taking decent photos and video clips in almost any environment. However, we expected the result to be at least 10 points higher. The S21 Ultra 5G lags behind direct competitors such as the Huawei Mate 40 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max in almost every test category, even in the zoom, where a dual telephoto setup is in theory, should give Samsung a noticeable edge. Surprisingly, it can’t even keep up with its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 Ultra, and other older devices like the iPhone 11 Pro Max. ” stated in DxoMark.
