According to Reportage The Hollywood Reporter on the appointment of Lucasfilm as new PR chief Chris Coxall, the third season of The Mandalorian, new Star Wars series (Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor) hitting Disney Plus in 2022. As previously reported, 2021 continues to be a huge year for the franchise
The news doesn’t come as a big surprise as The Book of Boba Fett, the series announced in the second season finale of The Mandalorian last year, will be released in 2021. Ewan McGregor, who plays Obi-Wan Kenobi, has confirmed that filming for the series has been completed and the production of The Mandalorian season 3 has yet to be launched.
The plot details of the three shows are being kept under wraps, but it is already known that in Obi- Wan Kenobi, fans will see Hayden Christensen return as Darth Vader. The heroes will meet in a legendary rematch.
Moff Gideon, the main antagonist in The Mandalorian, is apparently still a key character, and his actor Giancarlo Esposito recently teased fans that his attempts to capture Grog were far from over:
“I’m going to get this baby for a very different reason, which many assume.”
“This kid has magical powers, he’s 50 years old, and he can see the future, and we want everyone to know, after all, in this show, that this kid can save our universe.”
Most likely, more about the future of the Star Wars universe will be revealed when The Book of Boba Fett hits Disney Plus this December.
