PocketBook has released a new e-book called InkPad Color. This is the first book by the company with the new Kaleido panel.

PocketBook InkPad Color comes with a 7.8-inch E-Ink display with a resolution of 1404 x 1872 pixels. The screen has a resolution of 300 dpi for monochrome content and 100 dpi for displaying colors. The manufacturer claims that the new Kaleido panel offers better contrast and color reproduction compared to the first version of this screen.

A 1GHz dual-core processor powers the e-reader. The chip is accompanied by 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash storage. You can also expand the amount of internal storage by using a microSD card.

The book supports ePub, PDF, CBR, CBZ, FB2, HTML, MOBI, etc. Also, there is support for audiobooks and text-to-speech. The device runs on Linux operating system and is powered by a 2900 mAh battery.

PocketBook InkPad Color can be purchased for $329.
