Streaming service Netflix has officially announced a new animated series based on the Sonic the Hedgehog game series. Sonic Prime will be collaborated by SEGA and animation studio WildBrain, who are set to release the first season of 24 episodes in 2022.
The creators promise a “high-octane adventure” in which the fate of a strange new multiverse will entirely depend on Sonic, and the adventure itself will become not just a race to save the world but a journey to self-knowledge and redemption. Sonic Prime will target kids and families as well as the blue runner’s most dedicated fans.

The animation will be handled by WildBrain’s Vancouver and Man of Action Entertainment, which created animation projects Ben 10 and Big Hero 6.
Recall that last year the feature film Sonic the Hedgehog / “Sonic the Hedgehog” grossed $ 320 million at the box office, which is an unequivocal success for a project with a budget only $ 85 million. The same team with Jeff Fowler, Patrick Casey, and Josh Miller. All the main characters will surely return to their roles, including Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and others.
