Microsoft has announced a new version of one of the most affordable convertible Windows laptops, the Surface Go 3. This model features new Intel processors that deliver 60% faster performance over its predecessor.

Outwardly, the novelty resembles the model of the previous generation. As before, the laptop contains a 10.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 × 1280 pixels. Cameras, speakers, interface connectors and even the dimensions of the case have not changed either. The most significant difference is the hardware platform. Instead of the previously used Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y or Core m3 processors, the more powerful Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y or Core i3-10100Y chips are now offered. The amount of RAM can be 4 or 8 GB, and the capacity of the built-in storage is 64 or 128 GB.

The Microsoft Surface Go 3 laptop runs the new Windows 11 operating system and supports Windows Hello facial recognition. Commercial versions can ship with Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro. The ability to use the Microsoft Pen is also supported, but it is not included in the package. An LTE communication module can be installed as an option. The capacity of the battery has not been specified, but according to Microsoft, the battery should provide autonomy throughout the day.
