According to information MyDrivers, mass production of the acclaimed 200-watt Xiaomi HyperCharge charger will begin in June 2022, after which consumer devices supporting this ultra-fast charging will enter the market.
Informed Chinese informants indicate that the 200-watt charger will debut in the future flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra, which will replace the current top model Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
Xiaomi demonstrated a 200-watt HyperCharge charging at the end of May 2021 on the example of a modified version of the Mi 11 Pro with a 4000 mAh battery – a full charge took only 8 minutes, and 50% of the charge was restored in 3 minutes. A month later, in response to concerns about battery life when charged at such high currents, the company explained that the technology consumes only 20% of the battery capacity in 800 cycles, while the acceptable 40% in 400 cycles.
