Back in November last year, it was reported that Samsung was working on a successor to the not-so-famous Galaxy Home Mini smart speaker. Despite everyone expecting an announcement during MWC 2021 last year, the event took place without the Home Mini 2. This is just the latest news coming from the company.

Now, thanks to Max Jambore, we have new information about the Samsung speaker and its potential release date. Jambore tweeted that the Galaxy Home Mini 2 is “just around the corner” and also shared the device’s model number (SM-V320).

The Korean company has released only two speakers – the original Galaxy Home and a compact version of the Galaxy Home Mini.

The original Samsung Galaxy Home smart speaker - Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 coming soon, according to leaker

If you haven’t heard anything about it, it’s because these devices never went on sale. The speakers hit South Korea as a promotional kit when the Galaxy S20 series was launched, but that’s about it.

But Samsung is not giving up on the idea of making its own device.
