Apple’s First AR Headset to launch in 2022

The two biggest industries that Apple is focusing on – AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) – have so far only emerged as features added to existing products, not as separate devices. But the situation is expected to change in the next couple of years.

Supply chain sources claim that Apple’s $ 2,000 AR headset will go on sale in the second half of 2022, with AR glasses expected in 2023.

Corroborating previous reports from usually trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a new supply chain rumor claims that Apple’s initial AR device intended for corporations and industrial use will debut in 2022.

According to Digitimes, a commercial headset – the non-consumer Apple Glass – is undergoing testing.

Apple AR headset has already passed one P2 ] and will move to the EVT (Engineering Verification Test) stage before launching into mass production.

Digitimes says the first headset could cost more than $ 2,000, so Apple expects limited sales. According to unnamed sources, the publication claims that the consumer version, known as “Apple Glass”, has yet to be finalized. It assumes that Apple Glass will not go into mass production until after 2023.
