The first iPhone SE was hugely popular, with users appreciating the unique combination of compact design and impressive performance at an affordable price. The new iPhone SE, the second generation, builds on the same principles, but gets even better – in particular, it features the best single-lens camera in iPhone history for capturing stunning photos and videos, while still being available at a great price. IPhone SE is powered by our best A13 Bionic chip, which delivers long battery life and lets you shoot stunning video with stereo sound, play or load websites quickly. Plus, we’ve provided it with the advanced security features our users have come to expect. We look forward to getting the iPhone SE in their hands.
Classic iPhone SE design with a 4.7-inch display
iPhone SE is made from tough aerospace glass and aluminum. The device is available in three colors: black, white, and (PRODUCT) RED. The entire front panel is black; the Apple logo is placed in the glass back panel center. A seven-layer painting of the material was used to achieve the desired shade, color depth, and transparency of the back panel coating. At the same time, the aluminum frame of the device perfectly matches the color of the body. iPhone SE is water and dust resistant and has an IP67 rating (can be submerged up to 1m for up to 30 minutes).
A 4.7-inch Retina HD display with True Tone technology adjusts the white balance to match the ambient light, so the image looks even more natural as if it were printed on paper. The Retina HD display supports a wide color gamut, incredibly accurate color reproduction, Dolby Vision technology, and HDR10 video playback. The iPhone SE also uses Haptic Touch technology for context menus and Quick Actions — such as playing animated Live Photos, instant messages, or organizing app icons on display.
iPhone SE features the classic Home button covered in tough sapphire crystal to protect the sensor. The steel button bezel allows fingerprint recognition for Touch ID, a simple, secure, and secure alternative to entering a password to unlock an iPhone, auto-fill passwords with iCloud Keychain, sign in to apps, confirm App Store purchases, and pay with Apple Pay.
A13 Bionic is the fastest iPhone processor
First introduced in iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, the A13 Bionic is the fastest processor in iPhone, delivering incredible performance for a wide variety of iPhone SE tasks. It’s great for photography, gaming, augmented reality immersion – any action is incredibly fluid.
The A13 Bionic was designed with machine learning in mind. The 8-core Neural Engine is capable of processing up to 5 trillion operations per second. The CPU is also equipped with two machine learning accelerators, and the new machine learning controller provides the necessary balance of performance and efficiency. A13 Bionic and iOS 13 work together to create new applications that harness machine learning intelligence and Core ML.
The A13 Bionic is built to work efficiently and save battery life on iPhone SE. iPhone SE supports Qi wireless charging and fast charging up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.2 Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit Class LTE support lightning-fast downloads. 3A Dual SIM support. Regular and eSIM, convenient for traveling abroad or business communication.
New camera capabilities with the A13 Bionic processor
iPhone SE features the best single-lens camera in iPhone history – a 12MP f / 1.8 wide-angle camera with an image signal processor and Neural Engine, allowing the A13 Bionic to harness even more digital imaging capabilities, including Portrait mode with six portrait lighting options and depth-of-field adjustments.5 Also, iPhone SE leverages machine learning and can estimate the field’s depth using a monocular system so that great portraits can be shot with the front camera. The next-generation Smart HDR feature on iPhone SE recognizes objects in the frame and provides the right backlighting to expressively alternate light and dark areas.
Now you can shoot even more impressive videos with stereo sound and kinematic stabilization for the front and rear cameras. The rear-facing camera supports high quality 4K video recording at up to 60 fps and WDR with more detailed highlight areas at up to 30 fps. And the QuickTake function allows users to instantly switch from taking a photo on any of the cameras to shooting video without changing the mode.
With the advanced features of the Camera and Photos apps in iOS 13, built-in editing capabilities are even richer and more intuitive. Previously, such powerful editing tools were only available for photo editing.
